PAIA s51 · Access to information

PAIA Manual

The manual required by section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA), for PlantLynk (Pty) Ltd trading as GoDig.

1. Purpose of this manual

PAIA gives people a right of access to records held by private bodies where the record is required for the exercise or protection of a right. This manual tells you what records we hold and how to request access to them. It is published on this website and available on request from our Information Officer.

The Information Regulator has published a guide, in all official languages, on how to use PAIA. It is available from the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za · enquiries@inforegulator.org.za · JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

5. Categories of records we hold

6. How to request a record

7. Grounds on which access may be refused

PAIA requires or permits refusal in certain cases — chiefly: protecting another person's privacy (e.g. another user's phone number), commercial confidence of a third party (e.g. another company's quote details), records privileged in legal proceedings, and safety of persons. Where only part of a record is protected, we provide the rest.

8. Your POPIA rights

Separate from PAIA, POPIA gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted — free, by emailing the Information Officer. See our Privacy Policy for the full description of what we process and why.

9. Remedies

If your request is refused and you disagree, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (details in section 4 above — complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za) or apply to a court with jurisdiction.
